Your Fundamental Human Needs

Fulfilling our Potential
Realising the potential of our fundamental human needs is essential in developing our potential as a human beings. When things are right we are essentially relating and self managing people
Yet we can't realise the potential of our needs when we're in a situation where we are violated, inhibited, seduced by what is bogus or given simplistic answers to complex problems. Throughout our daily lives our personal sanity and emotional well being are governed by our ability to satisfy nine fundamental needs.

Our complex lives often lead to subtle changes in the way we succeed or fail to fulfil these needs. A particular situation or event may threaten our sense of security or others may prevent us from making the choices we want. Often a combination of events or circumstances will lead to our neglecting several needs and so we encounter our sore feelings - snap shots of how we are and what it is like to be us at that time.

Understanding our sore feelings, relating them back to our fundamental needs and then acting to try a fulfil those needs is an essential part in fulfilling our potential as social beings. When this system fails us we start the long journey into a world of unpredictable panic and emotional turmoil.
